As long expected, Three Days Grace have officially named Matt Walst as their permanent singer.
Walst joined the band -- which features his brother Brad on bass -- as a fill-in when Adam Gontier quit the band in late 2012. And now they've issued a statement saying, "We are happy to announce that Matt will be a part of Three Days Grace. Matt has been on the road with us [for the past year], and has been writing with us since 2003. Bringing Matt into the 3DG family is a no-brainer...he's always been in it." There's no word on what this means for Matt Walst's original band, My Darkest Days.
The band has posted a new single on YouTube called "Painkiller." It will be on sale through iTunes starting on Tuesday. There's no word yet when a full album will follow.
